Leading from the front – Get the best from yourself and your team

When a mistake is made in any organisation, the outcome can have a damaging effect; lost of income, profit, often leading to loss of reputation. Creating the right culture is a key element to success; a culture that rewards innovation and results and is not about blame and finger pointing when things don’t go according to plan.

Our coach served in the Royal Air Force as a Tornado jet pilot and has operated in hostile environments, including patrolling the ‘No Fly’ zone over Iraq. Since leaving the RAF, she has trained as a Human Factors facilitator.

The lessons learnt from an in-depth knowledge of aviation, calculated risk-taking, decision-making under pressure and the critical role of the human in the system have been translated from ‘cockpit to corporate’.

She relates her experiences of working within an elite team to business audiences with great clarity, outlining how the same values apply within any competitive environment. A renowned speaker at professional conferences, she demonstrates the importance of remaining calm under pressure and leading, quite literally from the front to get the best from herself and her team.
